Overview
IMI New Delhi was set up in the year 1981 and is India's first corporate sponsored business school. Set up in collaboration with IMD lausanne (then called as IMI) it soon carved a niche for itself and was able to establish itself as a knowledge repository and training ground for aspiring managers. Initially the focus remained on training programmes directed to all levels of managers. Later, it started the full time one year programme that still continues to thrive. With the changing scenario of business and how it was conducted the need of the hour was to explore more rigorous programs which resulted in the launch of the two year programme. Alongside training and teaching, IMI also became a thriving hub for research and established itself as a knowledge capital. A culture that after close to four decades has cemented it further.

PLACEMENTS 2022
During the Institute of Management and Technology in Hyderabad, placement rates were 100%. The college campus was visited by more than 80 companies in 2022 during placement. There were three different package prices: INR 23.5 LPA, INR 9.65 LPA, and INR 8.55 LPA, respectively.

Faculty members at IMI New Delhi enjoy academic freedom to adopt appropriate pedagogy for imparting education in respective courses. The faculty members are experts in their fields of interest and adopt interactive and participative methods of learning. Faculty members for all the programs are primarily in-house from the Institute but may also include adjunct or visiting faculty members. Guest lectures from industry practitioners are also organized regularly to expose students to the current business environment and practices.
IMI Delhi holds a great placement record over past years. During the 2022 placement drive, 100% of the participating batch of 243 students got placed. Students received an average salary of INR 15.51 LPA. The highest salary package rose up to INR 32 LPA. Consulting & EdTech, IT/ITES/Telecom sectors dominated the placement drive.
Different courses have different eligibility criteria. One must carefully check it beforehand. Candidates who are unable to comply with the requirements are liable to be rejected from the program. It is desirable that candidates complete all academic requirements before enrolling for the program to help them keep pace with the rigour and assessment parameters of the program. Interviews are usually held after shortlisting candidates and candidates must prepare them for this as well.
